Careers in Therapy & Rehabilitation
Explore careers at Critical Trauma Therapy: we recruit on an ongoing basis across counselling, psychology, physiotherapy, and nutrition, and we welcome medical specialists interested in joining our assessment roster. Current openings are listed below, and we are always glad to hear from clinicians who would like to be part of what we are building, whether or not a matching role is posted.
Clinicians join us because they are given what they need to support our clients well. Admin is handled, equipment is provided, caseloads are yours to control, and you are not carrying the overhead of running a practice alone.
Career Roles We Are Recruiting
Applications come directly to us, and we also post on Indeed from time to time. We are always glad to hear from clinicians who would like to be considered for future openings.
Across all psychology roles: our administrative team handles intake, scheduling, insurer submissions, and report formatting, so your day is clinical work. Full psychometric test libraries and scoring software are provided, and colleagues in psychiatry, nursing, social work, physiotherapy, and dietetics are already here when a client needs them.
Clinical Psychologist — Adult
We are looking for a clinical psychologist to work with adults recovering from motor vehicle accidents and other traumatic injury. The role covers diagnostic assessment, along with the therapy that follows from it.
One of the things clinicians tell us they value most here is that you treat the people you assess. Rather than writing a report and passing the client on to someone else, you see the work through, which makes for better practice and a great deal more satisfaction.
We can arrange the role as employment or fee-for-service, full-time or part-time, in clinic, virtually, or a combination of the two. Employees also receive extended health benefits, paid professional development, and supervision and mentorship, and in either arrangement the caseload is genuinely yours to shape. Registration with the College of Psychologists and Behaviour Analysts of Ontario is required.

Clinical Neuropsychologist — Adult
We are looking for a clinical neuropsychologist to work with adults living with suspected brain injury, concussion, and cognitive change after a collision. The role includes catastrophic impairment determination work, where your opinion genuinely changes what a person is entitled to.
You would be given complex, well-prepared files and the time a proper assessment actually requires. You would also provide treatment, so the clients you assess stay with you for cognitive rehabilitation and therapy rather than being referred elsewhere once the report is written.

Clinical Psychologist — Paediatric
We are looking for a clinical psychologist to work with children and adolescents from age four, supporting them through trauma, anxiety, and the effects a collision has on a child’s school, sleep, and family life. The role also covers ADHD diagnostic assessment and psychoeducational assessment, including cognitive and academic testing and recommendations for school accommodation.
You would be joining an established paediatric caseload rather than building one, with referrals already coming in and the intake, scheduling, and funding handled for you. We will shape the work around your interests and strengths, and you would have colleagues in physiotherapy, dietetics, psychiatry, and nursing to consult rather than working on your own.

Medical Specialists — Assessment Roster
We are expanding our roster for catastrophic impairment determination, tort assessments, and insurer examinations, and we would be glad to hear from orthopaedic surgeons, neurologists, psychiatrists, physiatrists, gastroenterologists, neuro-optometrists, and chronic pain specialists.
This is assessment work only, on a per-assessment contract, with no clinic overhead and nothing administrative to absorb. We prepare the file before you see it, coordinate the scheduling, handle report formatting, and pay promptly.
You can take as much or as little as suits your practice, and remote or virtual assessment is available for some referrals. Several of the specialists on our roster started with a single file and stayed.

What We Offer Clinicians
Training & Development
Structured internal training modules covering our assessment protocols, clinical documentation standards, and the accident benefits system, so you are not learning the Schedule by trial and error. Paid professional development for external courses and conferences as well.
Management That Is Available
Ongoing support from clinical and operational management, not an annual review and silence in between. If a file is difficult, a client is in crisis, or something is not working, there is someone to go to the same day.
A Team You Actually Know
Regular team events, case discussions, and time together across disciplines and clinics. Community work can be isolating, and we put real effort into making sure it is not.
Admin Genuinely Handled
Scheduling, insurer funding requests, OCF paperwork, benefits documentation and reporting logistics are handled by our administrative team.
Your time is spent on assessment and treatment rather than administration.
Caseload You Control
You set your capacity and your availability. Part-time, full-time, hybrid clinic and community, or fully remote for eligible roles.
Equipment & EMR Provided
FDA-cleared measurement devices, virtual reality assessment technology, neurofeedback and biofeedback equipment, TMS, and a proper EMR.
Supervision & Development
Clinical supervision is provided, and professional development is paid for. Mentorship from senior clinicians with decades of experience in this sector is built into how we work, and available whenever you need it.
Extended Health Benefits
Available to our full-time employees, alongside salaried or hourly arrangements depending on the role.
Work Worth Doing
Our clients are people whose difficulties have often been dismissed for months. Because we measure, you get to show them, and their insurer, what is actually happening.
You see the same clients over time and watch them improve, rather than assessing someone once and never finding out what happened to them.
Other Disciplines
These roles are not always posted, but we are always interested in the right person.
