Accessibility
Many of the people we see are living with a disability, some of it caused by the injury that brought them here. Removing barriers is not a compliance exercise for us, it is the substance of the work.
This statement sets out our commitment under the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act, 2005, how to request information in another format, and how to tell us when we have got something wrong.
Accessibility In Practice
Practical measures already in place across our clinics and services.
Physical Access
Our Oakville and St. Catharines clinics are located inside hospitals, with the accessible parking, entrances, lifts and washrooms those buildings provide. Accessibility details for each clinic are on its location page, and we are glad to describe a site in detail before you travel.
If a clinic cannot meet your needs, we will arrange another location, a home visit, or a virtual appointment.
Care Where You Are
We provide in-home and in-community appointments across the Greater Toronto Area and Southern Ontario, and virtual appointments anywhere in Ontario. For clients who cannot travel, or for whom travel is itself the barrier, this is often the whole answer.
Where transportation is the obstacle, tell us and we will look at arranging it.
For people who are in hospital, we can attend at the bedside.
Communication
On-demand medical interpretation in over 300 languages, at no cost to you. Support persons and service animals are welcome at every appointment.
Tell us how you prefer to be contacted and communicated with, and we will follow it.
Accessible Formats
Any information on this site, and any document we provide, is available in another format on request. That includes large print, plain text, electronic formats compatible with screen readers, and having a document read to you.
There is no charge for this, and no need to explain why you need it.
This Website
Built to meet WCAG 2.0 Level AA. It works by keyboard alone, offers a skip-to-content link, shows a visible focus indicator, uses text contrast beyond the required minimum, reflows on small screens, and respects reduced-motion settings.
Accessibility testing continues as pages are added, and we will fix anything reported to us.
Our Staff
Our clinicians are regulated health professionals whose training and professional obligations include providing care to people with a range of disabilities. We brief our team on accessible customer service and on what to do when someone needs an accommodation, and we will keep developing this as our team grows.
Our Approach to Barriers
This statement sets out how we work to identify, remove and prevent barriers. We review it as our services change, and we update it when something needs correcting.
Customer Service
We provide services in a manner that respects dignity and independence. Support persons, service animals and assistive devices are welcome. Where a service disruption affects accessibility, we post notice and offer alternatives.
Information and Communications
We provide accessible formats and communication supports on request, at no additional cost, in a timely manner. We consult the person requesting to determine which format works for them. Our website is built to meet WCAG 2.0 Level AA, and we continue to test and improve it.
Employment
Accommodation is available throughout our recruitment process, and we will work with any employee who needs an accommodation to do their job. If you need something adjusted at any stage, please tell us and we will discuss what would help.
Design of Public Spaces
Where we alter or acquire premises, we apply the accessibility requirements for public spaces. Two of our four clinics are located within hospital facilities built to those standards.
Ongoing Review
We act on the feedback we receive, and we re-test the website as new pages are published. Accessibility is something we keep working at rather than something we consider finished.
Feedback and Requests
If you encounter a barrier in our services, our premises or on this website, or if you need information in another format, please tell us. Feedback is welcome by telephone, email, fax, letter or in person, whichever suits you.
We acknowledge feedback within five business days and will reply in whichever format suits you. If you tell us about a barrier, we will explain what we are going to do about it.

Tell Us What You Need
If something about reaching us, entering a building, or reading this site is a barrier for you, let us know and we will find another way.
